A Few Good Fiesta Deals!

Here are a few great deals I see in my Fiesta ad this week.

Farm Tender Fresh Pork Sirloin Chops $0.99/lb.
Limit 2 with $10 Additional Purchase

Salad Tomatoes $0.88/lb.

Iceberg Lettuce Head @ $0.79 each!!

Fresh Jalapenos @ $0.49/lb.

Large Green Bell Peppers @ $0.39 each

Louisiana Live Crawfish @ $1.29/lb.
**Sold by the sack. We've been watching prices on this item and this is the lowest we've seen so far.

I haven't really done much shopping at Fiesta up until this point, but I definitely think I'll take them up on the pork chop offer! My hubby loves those and that's a fantastic price! Not sure about ad-matching the "$10 Additional Purchase" items at Walmart, if anyone was interested in that. I may have to look into this.

UPDATE: I spoke with the manager at my local Walmart last night about the $10 Additional Purchase requirement and was told that they WILL price-match the ad, but will NOT require you to make an additional $10 purchase. However, you can get varied answers from different stores, different managers. One manager said I had to adhere to the "limit 2" stipulation in an ad, the manager last night said I did not. My advice -- it's always best to take a moment and ask at customer service first. Once you have the answer, take note of the manager's name, so if there's any trouble at the register, you can ask the cashier to call for that manager.

$0.10 Haribo Gummy Bears at Randalls!

Here's a great deal you can score at Randalls this week!!

Haribo Gummy Bears @ $1 each
- .30/1 IP coupon (will triple to $0.90!)
Final Cost: $0.10 per bag!!

(Thanks, Saving with Shellie!)

Coupons at HEB = FREE Coffee!!!

The kids and I stopped into HEB last night to run their Doritos deal and came across these coupons again!!
  • $1 off ANY Nescafe Taster's Choice Coffee Product
  • $1 off ANY Coffee-Mate Liquid or Powdered Creamer
These coupons expire on 5/6/11, but if you can find them in your store, you can use the coffee coupons to score FREE Taster's Choice 7 ct. sticks. Unfortunately, a lot of stores have raised their price on these lately. HEB had the 7 ct. boxes priced at $1.19 yesterday. I've seen them priced at $1.12 at Walmart. But Walgreens still has them priced at 2 for $2 (must buy 2) and CVS has them on sale this week 12 for $10 ($0.88 each!). So FREE with coupon!

For those local folks, I found these at the H-E-B behind Katy Mills Mall. As you can see in the picture, they had TONS left!!

AD-MATCH AT WALMART FOR GREATER SAVINGS
H-E-B does not allow stacking of a manufacturer's coupon with any of their yellow in-store coupons (coded M). But if you take the sale ad to Walmart instead, Walmart will match the yellow in-store coupon price, and still allow you to use a manufacturer's coupon against it, saving you even more!! Personally, I wish HEB would address this flaw in their coupon system so that Walmart wouldn't benefit, but until they do, I plan to save as much money as possible -- even if that means taking my HEB ad over to Walmart.

Food Town Deals (4/27 -5/3)

Food Town is a Houston area grocery store that I've been paying more attention to lately. - $3/1 coupon from the 4/17 RP
Final Cost: FREE!!

Please note there are TWO of the $3 Nivea Body Wash coupons in this insert -- one for any Nivea Body Wash and one specifically for the men's version. Also, my store has been completely wiped out ever since this deal broke. Target has these priced at $3.04, so just $0.04 after coupon. But hopefully you have better luck finding them in stock at your local Walmart. If not, just be patient. The coupons don't expire until May 15th.

Brookshire Brothers = Unlimited Doubles/Triples!

So I made a visit to my local Brookshire Brother's store in Katy yesterday to pick up some of their sale items. And while I was there, I decided to stop and speak with the store manager regarding their double/triple coupon program. I specifically wanted to know how many "like" coupons they would double or triple. And much to my surprise and excitement, the manager explained that there was NO limit! Obviously, they still reserve the right to limit quantities (in order to prevent shelf-clearing) but I found this to be VERY exciting news! One thing I've always hated about both Kroger and Randalls is their limit on "like" coupons, which usually means I have to do several trips or several transactions. Total pain!

I also got a little more information regarding their green bag program. You'll receive $0.05 per reusable bag used, but you have to spend at least $20 (pre-coupon) to take advantage! Just something to keep in mind.

Here's what I got while shopping...

6 Dole Canned Pineapples 20 oz. @ $0.88 each
- 3) .50/2 coupon from the 4/10 SS (doubled to $1 each!)
Final Cost: $0.38 each WYB 2

5 Wesson Vegetable Oils 48 oz @ $2.00 each

- 5) .40/1 coupon from the 4/3 SS (doubled to $0.80 each!)
Final Cost: $1.20

Paid a total of $8.28 OOP. But considering I've been paying around $2.47 for store brand cooking oil lately, I figure I saved nearly $9 on the cooking oil alone! I might even go back later this week to grab a few more. When a good price comes along, guys, you gotta grab it!!

P.S. That picture looks like a whole lotta Pineapple Upside-Down Cake to me!! LOL And I have to apologize for all the "cloudy" photos lately. I was wondering why they were coming out like that, then I realized today that my 2 year-old's grubby fingerprints were all over the lens! Geez!

We're watching Food Town carefully as there have been rumors lately that they're going to be doubling and tripling coupons in the wake of Kroger's decision to end their double/triple coupon program here in Houston. I'll report back as I learn more. For more information, contact your local store!
