I posted about these deals last night but I wanted to try them out myself today. I always feel nervous posting deals without actually buying them first. I've read other blogs in the past, tried the deal they wrote about, and had something go wrong. I wouldn't want anyone to have that same experience reading something I wrote. So the good news is that they both worked for me!! Here's what I got...

Buy 2 Pantene Beautiful Lengths, Get $2 RR
Pantene Beautiful Lengths Shampoo @ $4.00
Pantene Beautiful Lengths Conditioner @ $2.00 (Buy 1 Get 1 50% off)
- 2) $2/1 coupon from the 8/29 P&G (EXPIRES TODAY!!!)
Final Cost: 2 FREE!!

Buy Vaseline Sheer Infusion @ $.599, Get $5 RR
- $1 IP
Final Cost: FREE!!

Halls Sugar Free Cough Drops @ $1

I was lucky to find the Cough Drops for a $1 as a filler item since I needed cough drops anyway and wanted to use the $5 RR I earned for buying the Hyland's cough syrup earlier in the week. I'm always curious about what others choose to use for their filler items -- so I thought I'd share mine! :D

Brookshire Brother's DEALS 9/30

I found out last night that I won't be working for the next 6 days, so I took advantage of the time off and put together a few shopping trips to make this morning. Unfortunately, my CVS trip fell through because they were still unpacking yesterday's shipment, but I was able to hit two other stores. Here's what I got at Brookshire Brothers.

4 Ore-Ida Frozen Potatoes @ $1.67 each
- 2) $3/2 coupons from the $70 Savings Booklet (found at Randalls)
Final Cost: $0.17 each!!

2 Angel Soft 24 Roll Toilet Tissue @ $8.89 BOGO sale **
- 2) .50/1 coupons from the 9/19 RP (doubled to $1 each)
Final Cost: $3.44 each!!

I was especially happy about the price on the toilet paper. This is something I've been meaning to stockpile but couldn't seem to find a good deal. We were on our last roll, people! LOL

I was also really excited to learn -- despite what I wrote in my last post about Brookshire Brothers -- that they are, in fact, doubling and tripling coupons. The sign at the front of the store stated that it was for a limited time. I'll need to find out more information on that.

** Angel Soft BOGO price requires an additional min. $10 purchase.

FREE SAMPLE: Aleve Caplets

Sam's Club is offering a FREE sample of Aleve caplets. You do not have to be a Sam's Club member to request this sample. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Randalls Run 9/29

So I ran to Randalls today to shop the new sales and it was a bit of a strange trip, honestly. I managed to find some great clearance items for things I was planning to buy anyway but not all of my ecoupons came off. I ended up throwing extra things in my buggy (potatoes, meat, tortillas) to cover an overage I was expecting -- only to have that overage shrink at check-out. So my out-of-pocket cost was a bit higher than I originally intended and ate into ALL my previously earned Catalinas. But I still got some pretty good deals, so I can't complain. Here's what I got...

4 Progresso Soups @ $0.99 each (Buy 4 get $4 off sale)
- $0.40 (2 soups rang up $0.79??)
-2) .50/2 shortcuts ecoupons
-1) .50/2 cellfire ecoupon
- $1/4 coupon from the 9/12 GM
- $0.90 for 50% off sticker
- $0.90 for 50% off sticker
- $1.00 for 50% off sticker
- $1.00 for 50% off sticker
Final Cost: 4 FREE + $2.74 moneymaker!!

Betty Crocker Cake Mix @ $0.89 with in-ad coupon
Betty Crocker Frosting Mix @ $1.50
-2) .50/both cellfire
- .50/both IP (doubled to $1)
- $0.50 for 50% off sticker on cake mix
Final Cost: BOTH FREE + $0.11 moneymaker

2 Hershey's Milkshakes @ $1 each
- 2) .35/1 IPs (tripled to $1 each)
Final Cost: 2 FREE!!

Pillsbury Sweet Moments @ 2.49
- $1 cellfire ecoupon
- $1.50/1 IP
Final Cost: FREE + $0.01 moneymaker!!

2 Precious Cheese Sticks @ $2.49 each with in-ad coupon
- $1/2 coupon from the $70 Savings Booklet
- $5 Mail-In Rebate found on package (wyb 2)
Final Cost: 2 FREE + $1.02 moneymaker!! (after rebate)

Assorted Pork Chops @ $11.09
- $5.55 for 50% sticker
Final Cost: $5.54

Pork Country Style Ribs @ $6.41
- $3.21 for 50% sticker
Final Cost: $3.20

I have no idea why the Progresso 50% off stickers rang up different discounts. I also had another .50/2 Progresso ecoupon that didn't come off AND an extra .50/both ecoupon for the cake mix and frosting that didn't come off. Weird.

Huge thanks to Hooked on Bargains for the heads up on the Hershey's Milkshake coupons and $5 rebate on the Precious Cheese!!

10 Ways to use Scrubbing Bubbles!

Alright, so now that our cabinets are overflowing with Scrubbing Bubbles, what do we do with it? Here are some ideas to get you started....
  • Use it to clean your washing machine. If you're like me, you probably do a lot of cold water laundry, which can lead to scummy buildup. Just spray your empty washing machine with Scrubbing Bubbles and let sit for 10 minutes. Start a HOT wash and use a cleaning sponge or old rag to scrub away any yucky residue -- rinse with the water in the machine and let it run empty for a full cycle.
  • Use it to clean your baby's bathtub. Just place the baby's tub inside your own bathtub, spray with Scrubbing Bubbles and let sit for 10 minutes. Give it a good scrub and rinse well under the shower.
  • Use it to clean your child's training potty. Again, place the potty inside your own bathtub, spray with Scrubbing Bubbles and let sit for 10 minutes. Give it a good scrub and rinse well. Lastly, spray with Lysol and let air dry.
  • Use it to clean outdoor furniture. Just spray your outdoor furniture with Scrubbing Bubbles, let it sit for 10 minutes, then give it a good scrub and rinse with your water hose. Let air dry. (Use caution around fabrics and with expensive outdoor furniture peices.)
  • Use it to clean outdoor toys, riders, plastic playhouses/climbers, etc. Those things can get so grimy and gross! Just spray heavily with Scrubbing Bubbles, let sit for 10 minutes, scrub well, and rinse with your waterhose (jet setting, if you have it!).
  • Set up a "store" for non-couponing friends and family to shop from. You can either be really generous and let them buy your extras with hugs and kisses. Or you could charge a quarter per bottle. (Hey, it's a profit!!)
  • Donate some to a family in need. Everyone needs cleaning supplies!!
  • Exchange them with other non-couponing friends, family members, or neighbors for their coupon inserts!
If you have any other ideas on how to use Scrubbing Bubbles, I'd love to hear them!

Sick of Scrubbing Bubbles Yet??

Randalls Money Maker 9/26

Have you been running the Scrubbing Bubbles/Cleaning Products Catalina deal at Randalls?? My cabinets are stuffed with Scrubbing Bubbles at this point, but I keep finding new ways to run this deal. Here's what I got today...

4 Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner @ $2.50 each
- 2) $2/2 coupons from the Summer Savings Booklet
Final Cost: $1.50 each

Febreze Air Effects @ $2.50
$1 P&G esaver ecoupon
- .50/1 coupon from the 8/29 P&G (doubled to $1)
- .50/1 in-ad coupon
Final Cost: FREE!!

409 Cleaner @ $2.50
- .50/1 coupon from the 8/22 SS (doubled to $1)
Final Cost: $1.50

Pay $7.50 but get back $5 catalina for buying $15 worth of participating cleaning products, plus $2 and $2 cats for buying 2 Scrubbing Bubbles. That means all 6 products for
FREE + $1.50 moneymaker!!

I actually made $2 since the .50 in-ad coupon must have been scanned twice by accident. Keep in mind that you should NOT use the $5 catalina you earn to run the same deal. It does NOT roll.

I keep forgetting to use the $1/1 Gain dish soap coupons I have in my stock. They expire 9/30 so while the kids and I were browsing at Walmart this afternoon, I decided to grab a few, as well as more cheese with the $5/5 Kraft coupon. That coupon is a bit tricky, by the way. I've used two of them so far and each time, the register tells the cashier that the amount is too high. They have to scan it three times in which it removes $2, $2, and the last remaining $1. So it works but you may have trouble depending on your cashier. My advice is to choose a package that shows the "SAVE $5" sticker on the front in case you have problems -- you can show the sticker to the cashier, manager, etc. so they know the coupon is legitimate. And watch the register closely to make sure you're getting the ENTIRE $5. Here's what I got...

5 Kraft Shredded Cheese 8oz. @ $2 each
- $5/5 IP **
Final Cost: $1 each

5 Gain Dish Soap 11 oz. @ $0.97 each
- 5) $1/1 coupons from the 8/29 P&G
Final Cost: FREE + $0.15 moneymaker!!

** You can also use the $5/5 Kraft coupon at Kroger this week -- they have various Kraft cheese on sale for $1.99, so just .99 cents each after coupon!! You can freeze cheese, so stock up!! :D

Once again, I had a $5 Register Reward expiring today, so I had to find a few things at Walgreens to buy. There were a few good freebies in the ad this week but I decided that unless I would really use the product, it wasn't worth getting, especially since those freebies mean more register rewards to use up later. Here's what I got...

2 Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Homestyle @ $1.99
- 2) $1/1 IP coupons
Final Cost: $0.99 each!!

Hyland's Cold & Cough for Kids @ $4.99
- $1.50/1 IP
- $5 Register Reward
Final Cost: FREE + $1.51 moneymaker!!

HEB Money Maker 9/25

So the kids and I woke up early this morning and drove into Houston to visit the Museum of Natural Science with FREE admission for Museum District Day. It was a lot of fun -- absolutely nothing like I remember from grade school -- and with the exception of getting lost after missing my exit (grrr) and almost running out of gas on the way home (phew!!), we had frugal good time! :D

Once safely back in our hometown, though, I decided to stop at HEB to test the moneymaker idea I posted about HERE. And it worked!! Here's what I got...

10 Betty Crocker Potato Pouches @ $0.76 each
- 10) .40/1 coupons from the 9/12 SS
Paid OOP: $3.60 or $0.36 each
Got Back: $5 OYNSO + 70 Bonus Box Tops
Final Cost: 10 FREE + $1.40 money maker!!

Investing for Dummies??

I just opened our very first ING ShareBuilder account. Jitters, people! Investing is beyond spooky to me. I've always been a no-risk type of girl. I'm Frugal Darling and Frugal Darling does not play with money! High interest savings accounts, CD's -- these are familiar and safe! But investing? Stocks? Shares? Mutual Funds? Portfolios? My first deposit hasn't even cleared yet and I'm already confused (and terrified).

Like everything else, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I'll research it over the next few days, maybe read a few blogs, find tools to help me "practice" choosing stocks. And if nothing else, at least I'll gain some experience without the worry of a big loss.

Plus, for a limited time, ShareBuilder is offering a promotion in which you open a new account with promotional code
50SEPT, deposit $50 or more before 9/30/10, and receive a $50 bonus into your account within 45 days. That's a 100% return on investment and hard to pass up, especially since I've been eyeing this program for a few years but never had the courage to sign up.

In the meantime, if anyone out there has any tips or advice, comment away!! Are you currently with ShareBuilder? How do you choose what companies to invest in? I honestly have no idea where to start -- but I'm jumping in!! Wish me luck or throw me a life-vest... whichever you think is best. :P

Recipe: Crockpot Angel Chicken

Remember all that FREE cream cheese we got during the Kroger Kraft promotion a while back? Well, my fridge is stuffed with it. It's in the crisper, the butter drawer, lingering behind milk jugs, hiding amongst the leftovers. It doesn't expire very quickly but it sure doesn't get exhausted very quickly either -- especially when there are absolutely NO DEALS ON BAGELS!! Sheesh... could I get a bagel deal this week, PLEASE?! LOL

So I thought I'd post one of my favorite recipes that features cream cheese in case any of you out there were in the same predicament as me. And even if you're not, there's a great $5/5 Kraft Cheese Products coupon out there, so go get in one!! Today was Freezer Cooker Friday and I made this delicious, cheesy, creamy, alfredo-esque pasta sauce in the crockpot... totally yummy!! :D

CrockPot Angel Chicken

2-3 boneless chicken breasts (frozen)
1/2 cup butter (or lite butter spread)
1 package dry italian salad dressing mix
1 can golden mushroom soup
1/2 cup chicken broth
4 oz. onion and chive cream cheese
1 small can sliced mushrooms (drained)
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1 package thin spaghetti pasta (cooked and drained)
2 roma tomatoes, diced

Place frozen chicken breasts in crock pot. In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Stir in Italian salad dressing mix, soup, cream cheese, chicken broth, and mushrooms. Whisk until melted and creamy. Add pepper. Pour over chicken. Cook on low 4-5 hours, stirring occasionally. Once cooked, remove chicken from crockpot and gently shred into bite sized pieces. Return to the sauce. Serve over cooked pasta or rice. Top with diced tomatoes and grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes: Want to lighten the recipe? Use Ronzoni Smart Taste pasta, light butter spread instead of butter, and reduced fat cream cheese. Tastes just as great!! (This is actually how I make it everytime.)

Potential Money Maker @ HEB

I haven't actually made this run yet, so I can't say with all certainty that it will work (I'm not sure if HEB sets a limit on how many of the same coupons you can use in one transaction -- the most I've done is 7 at a time), but if it does work, it should make for a moneymaker with the Box Tops for Education Catalina deal going on right now. Here's the scenario...

Buy 10 Betty Crocker Potato Pouches @ $0.76 each
Use 10 $0.40/1 coupons from the 9/12 SS
Pay OOP: $3.60
Get Back: $5.00 catalina + 70 Bonus Box Tops
Final Cost: 10 FREE + $1.40 moneymaker

UPDATE: It works! Read about my 9/25 Shopping Trip HERE!

HEB Box Tops Deal 9/22

HEB has a great Box Tops for Education catalina deal running through 10/5. Buy 10 Box Tops for Education products, get 70 Bonus Box Tops and $5 towards your next purchase. In the sales ad this week, I noticed that if you bought Fruit Gushers you could get Juicy Juice for free with their in-store yellow coupon. I knew both of those were Box Tops items, and I needed to get milk anyway, so I decided to check how this deal would work. Here's what I got...

4 Betty Crocker Fruit Gushers @ $2 each
- 2) .50/2 IP's
Final Cost: $1.75 each!

4 Juicy Juice 8 pk @ $1.96 each
- 4 FREE wyb Gushers HEB yellow coupons
Final Cost: 4 FREE!!

2 Betty Crocker Potato Pouches @ $0.76 each
- 2) .40/1 coupons from 9/12 SS
Final Cost: $0.36 each!

$7.72 total. I used the $5 catalina I earned HERE. Paid $2.72 OOP. Got back a $5 catalina and 70 Bonus Box Tops. So I got all 10 items for just $0.27 cents each!! I was also glad to find the potato pouches because I know these will make for a moneymaker once I round up all the coupons I need. :D

** Please note: I also earned an additional 10 Bonus Box Tops on this run. I'm not sure if this was from a previous customer that didn't take it, or if something in my order triggered this, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Kroger Money Maker 9/19

I was just telling my husband this week that I needed to start working on our canned vegetables stockpile. The pantry is overflowing with snack foods, canned pastas, soups, etc. But our canned veggies were dwindling. So I was super excited to learn that Kroger had Libby's canned vegetables on sale 2 for $1 this week! And I knew I had lots of $1/3 coupons for them!! I've also been wanting to run this Schick Catalina deal I read about a few weeks back. My husband wants to put care packages for all his employees together for Christmas and these will be perfect! Here's what I got...

12 cans Libby's vegetables @ $0.50 each
- 4) $1/3 coupons from Aug. 29th Parade Magazine or IP
Final Cost: $0.17 each!!

5 Schick Hydro 3 Razors @ $5.75 each
- 5) $5/1 coupons from the 8/8 SS
- $4 shortcuts ecoupon
Final Cost: FREE + $0.25 overage
($5.25 moneymaker after $5 catalina!)

I then paid $1.73 out of pocket and got back a $5 catalina for spending $25 in Schick products! So I basically got everything in the picture for FREE and made $3.27!! Also, if you try to run the Schick deal (ends 9/30), look for peelies on the razor packages for FREE Hydro shave gel. I'd found those peelies on some razor packages at CVS a while back but couldn't find them today. If you can find them, use them to score FREE shave gel along with your razors! Good luck!

Randall's Summer Savings Coupon Book!

I also wanted to mention this coupon booklet I found at Randall's today. Other bloggers were reporting finding $2/2 blinkies for the Scrubbing Bubbles or $2/2 peelies on the Scrubbing Bubbles AND the Glade Candles, but I couldn't find them anywhere. Instead, I found these booklets in the cleaning aisle that contained coupons for the Scrubbing Bubbles as well as other great coupons for products like Pledge, Hefty, Windex, and St. Ives.

If you can find these, you can also run this scenario...

Buy 6 Scrubbing Bubbles @ $2.50 each
Use 3) $2/2 booklet coupons
Pay OOP: $9
Get Back: $12 Total in Catalina Coupons
Final Cost: 6 FREE + $2 Money Maker!!

Or this scenario...

Buy 4 Scrubbing Bubbles @ $2.50 each
Use 2) $2/2 booklet coupons
Buy 1 Hefty trash bags @ $5.99
Use $2/1 booklet coupon
Pay OOP: $9.99
Get Back: $9 Total in Catalinas
Final Cost = $0.99 for all 5 Items!!
Thanks, Katy Couponers!!

Please note that the $5 Catalina for buying $15 apparently does NOT roll. If you use your $5 cat to buy more cleaning products, another $5 cat will not print. Also, this deal runs through 9/28. I'll try to put together another trip soon and report back -- definitely time to stock up on cleaning supplies!! :D

Randall's Money Maker 9/19

Remember when I posted about the cleaning products catalina deal I wanted to score? Well, I finally got it today! It didn't turn out to be as big of a moneymaker as Stephanie @ Katy Couponers got, but I'm still pleased. Here's how this deal works....

Spend $15 get $5 OYNSO. Participating products: Clorox Cleanup, Clorox Wipes, Pine-Sol, Febreze Air Effects, Formula 409, Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Lysol Wipes, Scotchbrite Sponges (3pk), Scrubbing Bubbles, Soft Scrub, Tilex.

There's also an overlapping Scrubbing Bubbles Catalina deal where you get $2 OYNSO for every 2 Scrubbing Bubbles you buy! That makes this deal even better! Here's what I got....

4 Scrubbing Bubbles Cleaners @ $2.50 each
- 2) $2/2 coupons from the Summer Savings booklet
Final Cost: $6 or $1.50 each

2 Glade Candles @ $2.50 each
- $1.50/2 coupon from Oct. Woman's Day Mag (or look for peelies on packages)
- $1.50/2 Randall's loadable
Final Cost: $2 or $1 each

3 Campbells Chicken & Rice Soups @ $1 each
- $1.50/3 IP
- $1.50 shortcuts ecoupon
- $1 shortcuts ecoupon
- $1 shortcuts ecoupon
Final Cost: 3 FREE + $2 moneymaker!!
Thanks, Hooked on Bargains!

2 Grands Homestyle Biscuits (5 ct.) @ $1 each
- .30/2 shortcuts ecoupons
- $1/2 IP
Final Cost: $0.35 each!!

2 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (4 ct.) @ $1 each
- .50/2 shortcuts ecoupon
- $1/2 IP
Final Cost: $0.25 each!!

2 Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls (5 ct.) @ $1 each
- .40/2 shortcuts ecoupon
- $1/2 IP
Final Cost: $0.30 each!!

Paid $8.59 out of pocket. Then I got back $5 for spending $15 on participating cleaning products, and two $2 cats for buying 4 Scrubbing Bubbles, and a $3 cat for buying 6 Pillsbury refrigerated products I blogged about HERE. So I got everything in the picture for FREE and made $3.41!! Happiness!!

What a challenging CVS/Walgreens week!! Our computer ran out of ink two days ago and I've been looking for refill kits with absolutely no luck, so I had to put together purchase scenarios using insert coupons only. UGH!! Not the easiest thing to do. I'll probably order some ink through Amazon or from the Walmart website and hit up CVS later this week. For now, this is what I got at Walgreens. (Had to go... $5 Register Reward expires today!)

Reach 55 yd. Dental Floss @ $0.99 with in-ad coupon
- $1 coupon from the 5/16 RP
Final Cost: FREE!!

3 Campbell's Cream Soups @ $0.79 each with in-ad coupon
- $1.50/3 IP
Final Cost: $0.29 each!!

4 Walgreens Panty Liners @ 2 for $1 with in-ad coupon
Final Cost: $0.50 each!!

3 Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Snack Size @ $2.50 each
- $1/3 coupon from the 8/15 SS or IP
- $1 Sept. Coupon Book (beeped, wrong size, cashier pushed through for $1)
- $1 cashier scanned extra $1 coupon on dental floss -- applying it here.
Final Cost: $1.50 each

Don't attempt the Reese's deal. The size listed on the Sept. coupon book is larger than the package size on the Reese's cups. Fortunately, I lucked out when my cashier scanned a coupon she had behind the counter for my dental floss without realizing I already had a coupon for the floss. I didn't catch her mistake until after I realized I didn't get $3 off from the Sept. coupon book.

Randall's Run 9/18

I'm starting to get the hang of this Randall's ecoupon thing. Yesterday, while out shopping for this moneymaker, I snagged some pretty decent deals. Granted, the sales prices weren't great, but after coupons and ecoupons, they were worth sharing. Here's what I got...

Chex Mix @ $2.50
- 2) .50/1 cellfire ecoupons
- 1) .50/1 shortcuts ecoupon
- .50/1 IP (doubled to $1)
Final Cost: FREE!!

Betty Crocker Cookie Mix @ $2.29
- 2) .40/1 cellfire ecoupons
- 1) .40/1 shortcuts ecoupon
- .40/1 IP (doubled to $0.80)
Final Cost: $0.29

2 Betty Crocker Boxed Potatoes @ $1.69 each
- 2) .50/2 cellfire ecoupons
- 2) .50/2 shortcuts ecoupon
- .50/2 IP (doubled to $1)
Final Cost: $0.19 each!!

Nature Valley Granola Bars @ $2.99
- 2) .50/1 cellfire ecoupons
- 1) .50/1 shortcuts ecoupon
- .50/1 IP (doubled to $1)
Final Cost: $0.49!!

Nature Valley Chocolate Granola Thins @ $2.99
- 2) .50/1 cellfire ecoupons
- 1) .50/1 shortcuts ecoupon
- .50/1 IP (doubled to $1)
Final Cost: $0.49!!

5 Totinos Party Pizzas @ $1.19 each
- 2) $1/5 cellfire ecoupons
- $1/5 IP
Final Cost: $0.59 each!!

Bertolli Pasta Sauce @ $3.00
- 2) .50/1 cellfire ecoupons
- .50/1 MDA Booklet coupon (doubled to $1)
Final Cost: $1.00

The trick is waiting until you have multiples of your ecoupons, hoping for a sale, or at least a regular price that brings your after-coupon price down to a level you feel is worth paying. One tip I have is to try viewing your cellfire coupons through the MyPoints coupon page. They line up all your coupons by type so you can more easily see your multiples! Then check your shortcuts account for additional duplicates, add them all up, add in your paper coupons, and this will give you a nice "total coupons" amount to compare with sale prices. Does that make sense?

Anyway... I never did get that cleaning products catalina deal. The store I went to didn't have the blinkies on the Scrubbing Bubbles. Oh well.. I'll keep trying! Wish me luck!! :D

Target Clearance Find: Intex Pool Light

Last Spring, we bought our first above-ground Intex pool. It wasn't exactly a frugal purchase. We spent a good deal of money on it (and we've been spending even more on chemicals, filters, accessories, etc. ever since!) but with 5 kids in the house -- two toddlers included -- I figured it would be easier to take them all to the backyard, rather than piling them into the car everyday to tote them down to the neighborhood pool. And it's been nice, actually. We've enjoyed it. And if we can manage to close it at the end of this month, store it "carefully" for the winter, and use it again next year, it might even be worth the money we spent on it.

Anyway, at the beginning of the Summer, I'd wanted to buy a pool light for it. These cost close to $50 but I really wanted one. But after ordering a $50 Walmart gift card from my ThankYou points account, I chickened out, and used the gift card on groceries instead. It just didn't seem worth the money.

So imagine my glee when I found these lights on clearance at Target yesterday!! They were priced at only $12.48!! I've already checked Ebay prices and these are still selling quite well, so if you're an Ebay seller, it might even be worth picking up a few for resale (particularly if you hold them until next Summer). But as for me, I'm just looking forward to my first "on-the-cheap" late night swim!! Happiness!!

Check Your Fast Food Receipts!!

Do you check your fast food receipts? We've noticed some great offers on our receipts lately. On a Whataburger receipt, there was a link to a short survey that offered up a FREE Whataburger on your next trip. And Panda Express receipts offer a FREE entree item when you complete a short guest survey. That means a 3-entree plate for the cost of a 2-entree plate! My husband is a Panda fanatic, so we're always quick to snag our free entree. If you know of any other "receipt" offers, I'd love to hear about them! :D

CVS DEALS 9/12 - 9/18

Have I expressed how much I truly love CVS?? If CVS were a man, he'd probably be gorgeous with some kind of crazy European accent. I'd have a mad crush on him. I'd lay awake at night fantasizing about him -- that sexy magic coupon machine, those rippling Extra Care Bucks. If the hubby and I were having a fight, I'd threaten to leave him for CVS. I might even secretly see CVS behind my husband's back. *gasp* ((SCANDALOUS!!)) LOL!

OK, I'm joking, but I really do love CVS. Not more than my husband -- I lurve my husband, people!! -- but probably more than any other store at the moment. Any store that allows me to walk out week after week with a bag FULL of items and actually MAKE money is certainly worthy of my affection, right? My love of "FREE" goes deep, y'all. So here's what I got this week.... :P

4 Airwick AquaMist 11.7 oz @ 4 for $10
- 2) BOGO Coupons from the 8/8 SS
- $5 ECB
Final Cost: 4 FREE!!

Alive! Energy Vitamins @ $9.99 (limit 1)
- $1/1 IP
- $9.99 ECB
Final Cost: FREE + $1 MoneyMaker!!

Nivea for Men Active 3 Body Wash 16.9 oz @ $4.99 (limit 1)
- $1/1 coupon from the 7/25 RP or 8/29 RP
- $4.99 ECB
Final Cost: FREE + $1 MoneyMaker!!

Tylenol Precise Cream 2.5 oz. @ $5.99
- $2/1 CVS IP
- $2/1 coupon from the 9/12 SS or IP
- $2 ECB
Final Cost: FREE!!

Also, if you can print the $1 coupon HERE (print twice), you can use 2 of them along with the BOGO coupons on the AirWicks for a $2 moneymaker. Unfortunately, I have Windows 7 and the site doesn't support my operating system, so I couldn't print them. Oh well...
I still got everything in the picture for FREE and made an extra $2 in Extra Care Bucks!! Bliss!!!!

Once again, there wasn't much I wanted or needed in the Walgreens sales ad. I'm almost starting to wonder if it's even worth shopping at Walgreens for deals. Their Register Rewards program is confusing at best and I always seem to have more register rewards to use than deals to shop for. Still, they occasionally roll out a good deal here or there, and I also really like that they don't have a "card limit" like CVS does. So when you find a great register rewards deal, you can buy it several times throughout the week.

For instance, this week I'm stocking up on DayQuil and NyQuil brand products. Buy 2 DayQuil or NyQuil products at 2 for $10, get $5 in Register Rewards. After coupons and returned register rewards, they're only $1 each!! Cold and flu season is quickly approaching, so this seems like a reasonable stock-up price. My hubby loves the DayQuil (for his allergies??) and I love the NyQuil (for when I wanna be dead-to-the-world during a head cold!) Here's how I ran this deal...

1 DayQuil Cold & Flu 20 ct. @ $5
1 NyQuil Cold & Flu 10 oz. @ $5
- $1.50/1 DayQuil coupon from 8/29 P&G
- $1.50/1 NyQuil coupon from 8/29 P&G
- $5 Register Rewards
Final Cost: $1 each!!
